Dance Atlantis will see the introduction to the U.S.A. of an alternative music and nightlife experience by accommodating everything related to nightlife on one site, like DJs, musicians/producers, dance, fashion, light and sound technicians, interior, catering, bar people and so on. In the dance scene techno is most popular so this is what we start with first. Eventually each danceable form of music will be accommodated on the site, except for modern (gangster) rap and hip-hop, Dance Atlantis offers alternatives for.
The uniqueness of the site’s content makes it interesting for people to come back; information on quality DJs is hard to find because they’re not know by most people and there’s hardly any audio and video material of them available for download. Members can familiarize themselves with the different music styles by browsing through the list of artists on sound samples, listen to demo and live mixes and compositions, watch images and videos of parties the artists performed at and by viewing interests of other members.
The members, staff members and artists are offered to participating clubs which allows them to increase their popularity and revenue. Expenses for artists are shared with other participating clubs by letting the artists perform on different locations over several nights. So the majority of the revenue of Dance Atlantis isn’t coming from the site but comes from helping clubs organizing top notch parties with artists the members of the site chose for. Artists will be selected based on a combination of votes and popularity, availability and price.
The basic rule for clubs to participate is that they need meet certain quality standards and they have to bring at least 50% of the number of customers the club can carry in by advertising Dance Atlantis through their already existing advertisement channels like flyers and their websites.
So once we
gathered at least 2000 members for a certain area (Miami to start with), Dance Atlantis will organize small and big parties on an occasional basis in that area. |
